Your Personality Holds The Key To Living Your Best Life Ever!!

Robyn Robledo, mindset & empowerment coach

Hi, I’m Robyn. My daughters, Gabi and Isabelle, run the blogs, Making Mindfulness Fun and Nomads With A Purpose with me.

When they were younger, our life was B-U-S-Y. My husband and I were running a gymnastics facility and a personal training gym. Gabi was in competitive soccer and gymnastics. And they had 3 other siblings that I was trying to nurture. To really top things out, I also was homeschooling them.

By the time their youngest sister was 1 year old, I had had enough of routine, school lessons, and work. I craved fun and newness.

That was kind of a big deal for me because up until that point, without really being conscious of it, I was a competitive, perfectionist, control freak.

I always got straight A’s, got my first job at 15 years old, which paid for a new car when I turned 16, got a full ride to college, and opened my first business and my first condo at 20, two months before getting married.

Don’t get me wrong, it was a good life. But it was a life centered around the external as a measure of success, which then defined my self-worth. And my personality kept me stuck in it.

The grades, the money, the car, the house, the business, they were lenses through which I valued myself and in some ways, they kept me feeling pretty good about myself until one day something changed.

There was this voice that began questioning, “Is this it? Is this all there is to life?”

I was noticing that no matter how much money I made, how perfect my house looked, or how ripped my abs were, it didn’t feel fulfilling.

There was this constant questioning and curiosity running through my thoughts.

My soul began to shake things up. I cared less and less about the matching pillows, the clean countertops, and whether my child scored a goal, and started spending more time in silence, trying to hear what my inner voice was saying.

I’d get up early and ride my skateboard to watch the sunrise. I’d paddle out into the ocean on my surfboard and wait for the dolphins to swim by. I’d go to yoga instead of the gym.

I stopped caring about what others thought about me and how they lived their life, and looked more at what I thought of me and how I wanted to live my life.

My desire for something new became 100x higher than my fear of being not enough and not having enough.

I wanted to let go of the control I had been living in, throw caution to the wind, and just learn to feel who this person was that was trying to surface within me. So, I asked my family if we could ditch the rat race and just live in our RV and travel.

You can read more about that here but the take home is that I had to let go of my personality in order to change my “personal reality.”

I had to let go of who I was in order to become who I wanted to be.

And in order to let go, I had to understand who I was. I had to know what I was letting go of.

As I did that, I began intentionally scripting out who I wanted to be. What would this new person’s day look like? What would I say? How would I act? What would I think when I first woke up every day?

What would the next chapter of my life look like?

Are you tired of feeling stuck?

If you are tired of feeling stuck, there’s a good chance it’s because you too are living IN your personality. You might not even be aware of it.

Most of who we are is dictated by our subconscious. And most of those thoughts were instilled by your parents, teachers, and friends in childhood.

By the time you were an adult, your life, your reality, was a direct reflection of all those programs- do this, don’t do that, be this, don’t be that.

Your soul became constrained within social and family norms that took away most of your innate gifts and unique sense of self.

But it’s in there. Like a diamond, it’s just waiting for you to polish it so that it can shine.

Here in Be The Hero, we are going to help you polish it the jewel of your true self.

Through journaling and scripting, we help you identify the parts that you want to let go of

& the beliefs that keep you repeating self-destructive, self-sabotaging patterns.

Through scripting, we reprogram the mind with new beliefs that align with who you want to be. How you want to talk and act, and think each day.

As I explain in the video above, there are tools we can use to help identify what personality is running the show right now.

Your personality that is currently in charge is actually there as a defense mechanism to your unique soul. And that defense mechanism has caused an energy blockage in one or more of your chakras, your energetic being.

Between journaling, scripting, enneagram, chakras, and astrology…

You can uncover the person you want to be and let go of the old self purely through journaling and scripting.

I didn’t change my life by knowing I was an enneagram 8. In fact, at that time, I had no idea what an enneagram or chakra was and only knew that my sun sign was Cancer and had no clue what that even meant.

The only thing I had was a burning desire to know myself better and to be extremely connected to my true self.

That required time spent by myself, in quiet reflection.

There had to be a willingness to see my flaws and question my beliefs. I had to stop being addicted to my stress.

“Your desire for (love, money, or health) has to be greater than your addiction to stress.”

Your stress addiction keeps you a prisoner of your old beliefs.

For example, I was addicted to being the best, chasing intensity, and needing to control everyone and everything. I had to learn to I’m still intentional, focused, and specific but I also allow for a lot of wiggle room in my day and my interactions with others.

Can you relate? Look at your patterns.

Where are you repeating stress?

Is it through constantly putting others before yourself?

Is it from trying to uphold morality?

Is it from always staying neutral and never rocking the boat?

Is it that you’re always chasing fun?

Are you always looking for the next win and achievement?

This is not all bad. We need to care for others, make decisions that benefit the group, allow others’ opinions to matter, let go and party once in a while, and push ourselves to new heights.

But if we are only living by one of these things, and doing it to the extreme, it can cause dis-ease inside of us. It can turn our thoughts and inner dialogue into a negative spiral of unworthiness and low self-esteem.

But not any longer.

When you join us in Be The Hero, we are going to change that. You are a miracle. You have a special gift. Your soul has a purpose here.
